Martial Arts Research Systems is a traveling martial arts school with satellite schools all over the world. We specialize in Bruce Lee's Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do, Filipino Kali / Lameco Escrima, Muay Thai, Maphilindo Silat, Shoot Wrestling, Wing Chun and Savate. Ron Balicki is the founder and head instructor. We offer instruction and certification our lineage is through Dan Inosanto, Yorinaga Nakamura, Chai Surisute, and Fred Degerberg to name a few. ABOUT RON:
Ron Balicki has trained in the martial arts for over 30 years and has trained with some of the biggest names in martial arts today. Ron has fought in Pro MMA (Vale Tudo) tournaments, Savate tournaments and Karate competitions. Ron is now teaching seminars world wide. Balicki grew up in Chicago, Illinois. In 1987 he became a Deputy Sheriff for Cook County in Chicago, Illinois. He helped to form a "Special Operations Resistance Team" which trained officers in how to handle riot control. Around this time he found work as a bodyguard for several Hollywood movie and music stars (Steven Segal, Public Enemy, Kid "n Play, Queen Latifa and D.J. Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince (Will Smith). On December 6, 1995 he married Diana Lee Inosanto, daughter of Dan Inosanto. Ron and Diana have two sons: Sebastian and Zachary.
